Microsoft Skydrive Available For iOS Devices

Microsoft has unveiled SkyDrive application for iOS devices like iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.The application SkyDrive can run with any device running iOS version 4.0 and above and is an absolutely free app for download and use.

iOS Users will get the same 25 GB of free cloud based storage like that of Windows Phone users.

The iPhone customers can store all their files and can later access them from virtually any device in SkyDrive. The iPhone customers can now easily access, manage and share files on the go with SkyDrive. The iPhone customers can also upload photos or videos from your iPhone to SkyDrive.

According to Microsoft, iPhone customers can create folders, delete files, and share links to folders and files directly using the Mail app with SkyDrive.

“We believe you should have access to your personal content no matter which device you use.” said by Mike Torres on WindowsTeamBlog, Microsoft group program manager for SkyDrive devices and roaming.

By introducing this app, Microsoft has shown a lot of interest in iOS. From this we can expect many more such apps and services to be made available for iOS users by Microsoft in future. Now there is a question mark on the question whether Android users will get similar app or not?

Gmail app for iOS Updated And Available For Download in the App Store

Google introduced Gmail app for iOS before few weeks ago. After received lots of negative feedback from iOS users and also Gmail App contained a bug which broke notifications and displayed an error message, they removed App from the iOS App Store.

The new version 1.0.2 of the Gmail App fixes the critical bugs and notifications are now working fine, Google improved handling of image HTML messages which now sized to fit to the screen and you can pinch to zoom in but no any new feature found in the app. Gmail for iOS still doesn’t support multiple accounts like the Gmail for web and fails to host emails on the user’s iOS device.

If you already have the Gmail app 1.0.1, you will need to uninstall or log out of the old app prior to installing the new app. The new version of app compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Requires iOS 4.0 or later.
