Earlier, LG announced company’s first Triple SIM phone – LG A290, now it is available in India. I think LG takes advantage in introducing a triple-SIM mobile phone ( beyond dual SIM ) as LG isn’t new to the multi-SIM market segment, this initiative gently pushes the company ahead than the competitors.
LG A290 has Triple Standby and has Hard Key to switch between SIM cards. LG A290 comes with a 2.2-inch (176 x 220 pixels) 262K Colour TFT LCD display. This mobile phone has dimensions 113.5 x 51 x 12.95mm.
The device furnished with 1.3 MP CMOS fixed focus camera with 4x digital zoom and Video Recording at 15 fps. There is no secondary camera available with the device. As aforesaid, this mobile is the first mobile phone with Triple-SIM functionality from LG. All we can understand at present is this mobile phone can accommodate three SIM cards. There is no word about the network mode (GSM or CDMA) and connectivity performance (Active or Standby). It weighs 93gm.
Moreover, it has other features like USB 2.0, GPRS (Class 12), Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, Torch light and FM Radio with Recording. 19 MB internal memory and up to 32GB expandable memory with microSD. It also contains 1500 mAh battery that would offer up to 23.5 hour talk time and up to 882 hour Standby time.
