Sony Introduced Tablet S and Tablet P in Indian Market

Recently the war for new gadgets availability has tremendous speed, and for being a good fighter in this war Sony has launched Sony Tablet S and P equipped with the latest Android 3.2 OS (Honeycomb) in India on Android platform. Sony has partnered with local content developers to design applications for the Indian consumers.

It offers customers a device which meets their demand for seamless, on-the-go access to the internet, digital entertainment content and social networking services.” said Masaru Tamagawa, managing director, Sony India.

Moreover, Hideyuki Furumi, deputy president, VAIO & Mobile Business Group of Sony said “Sony is committed to deliver a great user and entertainment experience that will inspire and spark everyone’s curiosity. The ultimate on-the-go entertainment hub, Sony Tablet is fitted with numerous thoughtful features and applications. Powered with the latest Android operating system, it is built to appeal to a cross section of users from avid gamers, busy professionals, thrill-seeking youngsters or multi-tasking homemakers.”

As far as the design concerned, both the tablets have uniquely asymmetric design. The Sony Tablet S has a wedge-shape, similar to a magazine that’s been folded over. The Sony Tablet P has dual screen design of provides optimized entertainment experience and portability.

The Sony tablet S is available with only Wi-Fi and 3G + Wi-Fi features where as Sony Tablet P is available with 3G +  Wi-Fi feature.

  • Bluetooth version 2.1
  • 16GB internal storage along with Micro SD card support up to 32GB
  • 3.5 mm handsfree socket
  • MicroUSB

Both the devices can access the compatible PlayStation games from the Google Android Market. That means Both the devices are PlayStation certified.

Sony Tablet S & Tablet P will be available across 500 stores in India starting Mid-January 2012 and pricing for both the tables S and P are as par given in below table.
