ZTE Corporation has announced its latest smart phone, and its first single-chip LTE device. The latest smartphone from ZTE is called the Grand X LTE (T82), and this phone was unveiled at CommunicAsia2012.
The ZTE Grand X LTE (T82) would be launched in Asia-Pacific and Europe in Q3 of 2012. Under the hood, the device uses the latest MSM8960 chip from QUALCOMM.
According to Mr. He Shiyou, Executive Vice President, and Head of the Terminal Handset Division, ZTE, “We are the first company to use the single-chip solution in a handset,” he also said, “The Grand series products are our high-end flagship offerings this year. ZTE aims to enhance its profile in the high-end market with the Grand series of smart terminals.”
Further Mr. He added, “The telecommunications sector is changing rapidly,” said Mr. He. “LTE is growing very fast in Asia and ZTE emphasizes technological development in this area. We believe 4G communications provides a tremendous opportunity for the telecommunications industry in Asia.”

The exact price figures and release date have not been provided by ZTE yet but according to news it is expected to hit Europe and Asia Pacific in Q3 of 2012 and price would be around that of the Samsung Galaxy S2, in the high end range.
